Lip reader reveals ‘furious’ Prince William’s last public interaction with Prince Andrew

Part 1 of 2

Just one month before Prince Andrew gave up his royal titles, he was caught in a tense exchange with Prince William — a moment that reportedly left the future king “furious.” A professional lip reader has now revealed what was said between the two, shedding new light on the strained dynamic between the princes.

Andrew’s fall from grace has once again made headlines amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the late Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s most outspoken accusers.

The Scandal Reignited

Giuffre, who died by suicide in April 2025 at the age of 41, had long accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17 — claims the royal has always vehemently denied.

In her posthumously released memoir Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, Giuffre described her alleged 2001 encounter with the Duke of York, calling him “the playboy of the royal family.”

“He was friendly enough, but still entitled — as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright,” she wrote, adding that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate, had pressured her into “servicing the man the tabloids called ‘Randy Andy.’”

Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021, while Epstein died by suicide in 2019. Giuffre’s memoir, published on October 21, 2025, reignited public outrage and renewed calls for accountability.

Andrew Renounces Royal Titles

Days before the book’s release, on October 17, Prince Andrew, 65, announced he would step back completely from royal life, giving up his knighthood and his position in the prestigious Order of the Garter.

“In discussion with the King and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded that the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew wrote in a statement.

“With His Majesty’s agreement, I feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.”

He maintained his innocence, adding: “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
