‘Shaken’ palace insiders reveal King Charles’ plan to ‘seize’ Andrew’s final responsibility given by late Queen Elizabeth

Prince Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is facing yet another potential blow to his life within the royal sphere. Fresh claims suggest he could lose custody of Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved corgis, which have been in his care since her death in 2022.

The report comes shortly after Andrew was stripped of his remaining royal titles and asked to vacate Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate. His position has been under intense public scrutiny for years due to his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein. He has also been accused of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre, allegations he has always firmly denied.

When Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022, Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson took responsibility for her dogs. The late monarch had adored her corgis throughout her life and owned more than thirty during her reign. Muick and Sandy, the two most recent corgi puppies, were originally gifted to her by Andrew and Princess Beatrice after the death of Prince Philip. It was understood that the pair would care for the dogs once the queen passed away. She also left behind another corgi and a cocker spaniel named Lissy.

According to journalist Rob Shuter, King Charles is now considering removing the dogs from Andrew’s care due to concerns about the stability of life at Royal Lodge. He claims that the King has become increasingly uneasy about the situation there and is now motivated to secure a more dependable home for the queen’s cherished pets.

Shuter reports that palace insiders believe Charles is exploring formal ways to retrieve the corgis as part of what he views as the Crown’s living legacy. He adds that Andrew’s household has become increasingly complicated as he and Sarah prepare to live separately, something sources say the late queen would never have wanted for the dogs.

Although Andrew and Sarah divorced in 1996, they have lived together at Royal Lodge since 2008. Recent reports suggest they may eventually relocate to Frogmore Cottage or Adelaide Cottage as part of Andrew’s exit arrangements.

According to Shuter, Andrew is resisting any attempt to take the corgis away, setting the stage for what insiders fear could become a tense royal dispute, with Muick and Sandy placed directly in the middle of the conflict.

For now, the situation remains unresolved. Andrew’s strained relationship with the institution continues to attract attention, and the royal family’s next move regarding the late queen’s dogs is being watched closely.
