Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a touching moment this week while volunteering at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles, helping prepare and package meals for people experiencing food insecurity. They were joined by their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, making it a full family effort.
Photos of the day were shared on the Archewell Foundation website, showing the Sussex family smiling and working alongside other volunteers. One image, in particular, captured Harry wrapping his arms around Meghan as they posed for a photo, radiating warmth and closeness.
A Subtle Gesture of Love
Body language expert Darren Stanton analyzed the moment, calling Harry’s embrace a “shielding gesture.” He explained that it shows a desire to make Meghan feel safe while also conveying pride and connection. Meghan’s hand resting on Harry’s and the way she leans into him further illustrates their bond.
“They are almost presenting themselves as one unit,” Stanton said. “Their smiles are broad and genuine. It’s a clear representation of their closeness and comfort with each other. On the scale of public displays of affection, I’d say it’s a 10.”

The Next Generation Helping Out
The children were also fully involved in the Thanksgiving prep, helping bake cookies and organize meals. Fans took to social media to share their admiration, with one commenting on how well Archie and Lilibet are being raised by their parents.
Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles, a community-run nonprofit, provides meals to those in need throughout the city. The Sussexes’ visit, ahead of Thanksgiving, offered a glimpse into their family life in Montecito, California, where they have lived since stepping back from senior royal duties in 2020.
It was a heartwarming reminder that the family’s commitment to service is shared across generations.
