Demi Moore shares update on ex Bruce Willis amid his dementia battle

Part 1 of 2

Demi Moore is sharing the latest health update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who’s the father of her three daughters.

While attending the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival in New York on Sunday, where she was honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award, the actress described his current state as being ‘stable’ amid his diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

‘You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is,’ Moore told the audience during a live discussion moderated by Alina Cho, as reported by People. ‘But for where he’s at, he is stable.’

Moore most recently visited with Willis, whom she was married to for 13 years, just two days prior to HIFF event, for a visit with their first-ever grandchild, daughter Rumer’s baby girl Louetta.

The longtime Hollywood leading lady goes into such outings with Willis with the idea that they will be ‘able to share with whatever we have, for however long we have it.’

Demi Moore, 61, shared an update on the health of her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, describing his his current state as being ‘stable’ amid his diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia

The A Few Good Men star also holds the belief that it’s best to stay in the moment when it comes to her ex-husband’s progressing illness, and not just think of him in terms of who he had always been in years past.

‘What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game,’ the Los Angeles native told riveted fans and journalists. ‘But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.’

The former couple met at the premiere of the movie Stakeout in July, where Moore was attending with her then-fiancé, Emilio Estevez.
