King Charles has reportedly “had to accept limitations” while undergoing cancer treatment, as Prince William and Princess Kate “have been preparing for their future roles sooner than they would have expected,” according to a royal biographer.

At 76 years old, the King revealed his cancer diagnosis in February. Despite taking a three-month break, he has since returned to fulfill his duties as monarch with dedication.

Royal expert Sally Bedell Smith shared with People: “Although the King is carrying out his duties with typical determination, he has had to accept limitations during his cancer treatment.

“As a result, William has been taking on more responsibilities, and he and Kate have been preparing for their future roles sooner than they would have expected.”

A source from the palace shared: “There’s a sense of calm before the storm.

“They are next in line for the biggest job of their lives, and of course, Kate’s health has taken priority, but it’s also allowed everyone to take a step back and figure out what’s important right now.”

In March, Princess Catherine, 42, disclosed her diagnosis with an unspecified type of cancer and temporarily withdrew from her public responsibilities.

In a positive update regarding her health, Kate shared in an emotional video on social media in September that she had successfully completed her preventative chemotherapy.

The future Queen has made numerous significant public appearances recently, such as taking part in consecutive Remembrance Weekend events and organizing her fourth Annual Together at Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

According to royal insiders, contingency plans for succession are always in place. A source revealed to People: “It is something the institution is always mindful of.”

Despite this, the Prince and Princess of Wales remain focused on their primary priorities, which, as their close friends share, revolve around their children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

One of the couple’s friends commented: “Life-threatening illnesses bring a reconsideration of priorities.”

Princess Kate’s friend remarked, “She and William have always made it clear that family is the most important thing.”

This year, Prince William and Princess Kate are planning to celebrate Christmas at Sandringham with their children and King Charles.

As part of the Royal Family’s festivities, they are anticipated to join the traditional walk to and from St Mary Magdalene Church.

It is believed that the Wales family has already traveled to their Georgian residence, Anmer Hall, a ten-bedroom home located on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, now that the school term has concluded.
