What did Barron Trump say to Joe Biden at his dad’s inauguration? It sparked an online debate

Was it Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, who stole the spotlight at his father’s inauguration? For many, the answer is a definitive yes.

Now 18 years old, Barron began his freshman year at New York University’s Stern School of Business in September 2024, where he is reportedly pursuing a degree in business and finance.

At present, Barron resides at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan and commutes to campus for his classes. According to his mother, Melania Trump, it was entirely his choice. Speaking to Fox in September 2024, she shared, “It was [Barron’s] decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home.”

However, an insider claims Melania prefers to keep a close eye on her son. “Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the stars for him at this point,” a source told People in December 2024. “Melania feels it’s better to be around him as much as possible.”

Barron’s poised demeanor at his father’s inauguration caught the attention of body language expert Judy James, who described him as “working as a sweeper.” She explained, “This means he tends to arrive and leave behind his parents, but instead of just walking off behind them as he did when he was younger, he spends time shaking hands and offering gracious-looking words.”

James elaborated, saying Barron’s behavior “defines” his growing presence and status without overshadowing his father. “He lets everyone know that he is becoming a force to be reckoned with in his own right, and because of his height and the increase in his confidence signals, it gives him a rather princely air, presence-wise.”

One notable moment was Barron’s brief but striking interaction with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Lip reader Jeremy Freeman observed that Barron greeted Biden with a polite, “G’day to you, sir,” before turning to Harris with, “Ma’am, good day.” Biden reportedly responded, “It’s good to see you, man.”

James noted Barron’s confident approach, describing how he “very confidently” and “charmingly” bent to shake hands with Biden. While Biden’s expression seemed to shift momentarily, James clarified that it was not due to any tension. Instead, she explained, “Barron seemed to be leaning to greet Kamala, and Biden’s face was registering the fact that he’d finished his greeting ritual with Trump’s son.”

Barron’s well-mannered actions did not go unnoticed, earning him widespread praise. Observers commended the young man for his poise and charm, with many attributing his upbringing to Melania Trump, applauding her for raising him so well.
