Prince Harry admits his ‘worst fears have been confirmed’ following major royal family update

Prince Harry has stated that his “worst fears have been confirmed” amid his ongoing legal fight to restore police protection for his family.

The Duke of Sussex has suggested that the reduction in his security was a deliberate move to prevent him and his wife, Meghan Markle, from stepping back as working royals and relocating to the US in 2020.

According to a report by The Telegraph, Harry claimed that his “worst fears” were “confirmed” after alleged secret evidence was presented during his legal battle with the Home Office. This case centers on Harry’s efforts to regain the same level of security he previously had while in the UK.

Much of the hearing was held in private due to “confidential evidence.”

Afterward, Harry spoke out, saying: “People would be shocked by what’s being held back.”

He also shared that his “worst fears have been confirmed by the whole legal disclosure in this case and that’s really sad.”

As reported, Harry allegedly believes that King Charles might have been able to support the restoration of his security arrangements. However, Buckingham Palace has denied this claim.

A palace insider told the Guardian: “These are matters of security and government policy and, as usual, it would be inappropriate to comment or intervene on either.”

Harry and Meghan stepped back as working royals in 2020

Five years ago, Meghan and Harry made headlines when they stepped back from their royal roles and relocated abroad in search of a more private life for their children.

As reported by HELLO!, Harry’s main concern now is being able to return to the UK with his family safely.

A source shared: “The goal for Prince Harry is simple.
He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”

Following the downgrade of their security status, Harry pursued legal action—a move that led to several court hearings.

Harry has been fighting for the security level he had previously

After losing a legal challenge last year, the Duke has decided to appeal the decision. A spokesperson explained: “The Duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of Ravec’s [The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures] own rules, ensuring that he receives the same consideration as others in accordance with Ravec’s own written policy.

“In February 2020, Ravec failed to apply its written policy to the Duke of Sussex and excluded him from a particular risk analysis.

“The Duke’s case is that the so-called ‘bespoke process’ that applies to him is no substitute for that risk analysis.”
