Princess Anne’s stark ‘prediction’ about Meghan Markle’s future in royal family

Princess Anne is said to have made a prediction about Meghan Markle and her place in the royal family long before the term “Megxit” became popular.

With just a few days left until Prince Harry and Meghan’s seventh wedding anniversary, the tension between Harry and his relatives doesn’t seem to be easing. Despite Harry’s recent BBC interview where he mentioned his desire for “reconciliation,” it doesn’t seem to have helped the situation.

As the Princess Royal and other members of the royal family continue their work, such as participating in last week’s VE Day memorials, Anne’s earlier prediction about the Duchess of Sussex is once again making headlines.

Princess Anne made ‘prediction’ about Meghan Markle

A royal commentator has suggested that Princess Anne may have anticipated that Meghan would not stay in the royal family for long.

Neil Sean previously claimed that Anne had advised Meghan to approach her role as a “job,” rather than seeking fame and celebrity status.

However, reports suggest that Meghan might not have fully understood Anne’s message.

Mr. Sean shared his thoughts about Anne in a video on his YouTube channel: “This senior royal takes no nonsense. Much like her father, the late Duke of Edinburgh. Apparently, when Meghan Markle joined the royal family, she sought out Princess Anne. According to a very good source, Princess Anne gave very sage advice to the new royal.”

He continued: “She \[Anne] does endless amounts of engagements. She shows up, gets the job done, and doesn’t look for the spotlight. But apparently, Meghan left her meeting with Princess Anne feeling confused. Princess Anne made it clear that it wasn’t about fame, it was a job. You show up on time, do your research, and fulfill your duty.”

Anne had always believed that Meghan’s time in the royal family would be short-lived.

He added, “According to a very good source, Meghan Markle didn’t really warm to Princess Anne. And Princess Anne always knew that Meghan would have a very short shelf-life in the world of the British monarchy.”

This prediction seemed to come true, as Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in early 2020, just under two years after their marriage in May 2018.

Which Princess is friends with Meghan?

Even though it may seem like Meghan doesn’t have many allies within the royal family, Princess Eugenie was said to have been friendly with Meghan for several years – even before the duchess met Prince Harry.

Eugenie, the second daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, is believed to have met Meghan through a mutual friend, fashion designer Misha Nonoo.

According to Tatler, Harry introduced his then-girlfriend to Eugenie before anyone else in the royal family.

However, the Sussexes were criticized for stealing the spotlight when Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank. It was reported that Harry and Meghan chose that occasion to announce their pregnancy to the family.

Although Eugenie was reportedly “furious,” she and her husband still visited the Sussexes in Montecito after they stepped down from their royal duties at the start of 2020.

Despite this, reports suggest that Eugenie’s support for the Sussexes isn’t publicly shown on social media. Nevertheless, Harry and Meghan are said to remain close to Eugenie and Jack.
