King Charles’ cancer is “incurable”, claims royal insider

More than a year after the world learned of King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis, a wave of new concern has emerged regarding his long-term prognosis.

The monarch made history in February last year when he publicly disclosed his condition—a rare move in the traditionally private world of British royalty. While Buckingham Palace confirmed his illness, they withheld specific details about the type and stage of cancer, leaving many to speculate.

Since then, official updates on the King’s health have been sporadic at best. While some praised the Palace’s initial transparency, it has since returned to its usual reserved nature. As a result, royal watchers and insiders have filled the information gap with rumors and unconfirmed claims.

One such claim has recently reignited public concern. Journalist and royal commentator Camilla Tominey—well-known for breaking early stories about the royal family—told The Telegraph that sources close to the King believe his cancer is not curable.

According to Tominey, although King Charles’ current condition appears stable, it is unlikely that he will fully recover. “The discussion now is that His Majesty may live with cancer for many years to come, rather than be cured of it,” she explained.

This idea—that the King’s illness may be manageable but not eradicated—has sparked new conversations about how the monarchy may evolve in the coming years. Interestingly, Tominey also mentioned that preliminary plans are being explored for King Charles’ 80th birthday in 2028, suggesting that the Palace remains optimistic about his long-term ability to serve.

Since returning to public duties earlier this year, the 76-year-old monarch has appeared determined to fulfill his royal responsibilities. He’s taken part in state visits and high-profile events, including diplomatic trips to Italy and Australia. These outings have given many royal followers a sense of reassurance that Charles is doing well despite his diagnosis.

However, behind the scenes, changes may be quietly taking shape. According to reports, King Charles and Queen Camilla are choosing to stay at Clarence House, rather than move into Buckingham Palace—a decision believed to be influenced by his health and the need for stability.

The King’s willingness to continue working, even amid personal health struggles, has garnered admiration from supporters around the globe. But as speculation continues, many are simply hoping for clarity and good news in the months ahead.

Whatever lies ahead, the global public can only wish King Charles strength, comfort, and peace as he navigates the challenges of both leadership and personal health.
