Princess Charlotte’s rare public appearance with dad Prince William has everyone noticing one glaring detail

Princess Charlotte accompanied her father, Prince William, to the UEFA Women’s Euro Final in Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday, July 27. The match ended dramatically with England’s Lionesses defeating Spain in a tense penalty shootout, allowing them to become the first team to defend their European title since the women’s tournament began in 1984.

The high-profile game attracted several members of both the British and Spanish royal families. Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía were present to support Spain, while Prince William, who serves as president of the English Football Association, proudly cheered for England alongside his daughter.

A young royal with a familiar look

During the match, the 10-year-old princess was seen in a polka-dot dress and white cardigan, celebrating with enthusiasm as England equalized after Spain’s early lead. She later joined her father on the pitch to help present medals to the winning team.

What caught the attention of many viewers, however, was her striking resemblance to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Social media was quick to highlight how Charlotte’s expressions and gaze reminded them of the former monarch. Fans described her as having the same piercing look and confident smile, with some predicting she will grow into a strong and influential figure.

Questions about the absence of other royals

While Charlotte’s appearance charmed many, some questioned why Prince George, known for his love of football, and Prince Louis were not in attendance. The two boys remained at home with their mother, Princess Kate.

This absence sparked debate online, with some users criticizing the decision and suggesting it could send the wrong message about the value of women’s football. Others compared Prince William’s approach to that of Spain’s King Felipe, who frequently takes his daughters to both men’s and women’s matches.

Despite the discussion, Charlotte’s lively presence and warm interaction with the players made her one of the most talked-about figures of the night, adding another memorable moment to the Lionesses’ historic victory.
