Meghan Markle took a moment to share a heartfelt message on Instagram Tuesday, expressing her gratitude to Prince Harry and loved ones as she celebrated her 44th birthday.
The Duchess of Sussex, whose birthday fell on Monday, posted a photo of herself blowing out candles on her cake, eyes closed in quiet reflection.
“Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special,” she wrote in the caption.
She also reached out to her fans with appreciation, adding, “To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day — thank you so much. Please know I feel it and appreciate it.”
A Taste of Glamour at Beverly Hills Hotspot
Meghan gave followers a glimpse into her birthday celebration, which took place at the renowned Beverly Hills restaurant Funke — a favorite among A-list names like Kim Kardashian, Michelle Obama, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, and Matt Damon.
Lightly teasing her followers, Meghan joked that she was about to “get a little foodie on” as she revealed the upscale location. The restaurant is helmed by chef Evan Funke, also known for launching Felix Trattoria in Los Angeles.
Her birthday post came just after Pamela Anderson spoke out about similarities between Meghan’s cooking show With Love, Meghan and Anderson’s own series Cooking With Love — though Meghan kept the mood light and focused on celebration.
Heartfelt Messages from Meghan’s Inner Circle
Earlier in the day, Meghan took time to acknowledge a wave of affectionate birthday tributes from her close-knit circle of friends — including fellow “Montecito moms” and former Suits co-stars — many of whom turned to Instagram to share their love.
Longtime friend Abigail Spencer was among the first to post, calling Meghan “Champagne in human form” and a “sister in this life and beyond.” Spencer, who starred with Meghan on Suits, wrote a warm tribute that captured the closeness of their bond.
Tracy Robbins, Kelly McKee Zajfen, and Jamie Kern Lima also joined in, with Kelly calling Meghan “pure magic” and describing her as “like sunshine in a bottle.”
Meghan Shares Love in Return
In response to Abigail’s message, Meghan kept things sweet and simple, commenting with a string of pink and red heart emojis.
Spencer also included a touching mention of Meghan’s family: “I hope your wee posse of 3 are smothering you with hugs and kisses today my dear! Happiest of birthdays M!” — referencing Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
A Glimpse Behind the Scenes
Tracy Robbins gave fans a more personal look at Meghan’s life, posting a photo from backstage at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter concert at SoFi Stadium in California, which Meghan and Tracy attended together in May. In her birthday message, she added, “Happy birthday M! Brian and I adore you!”
