DIY Lemon Ginger Turmeric Power Shots: Boost Your Health Naturally

Start your day and boost your health with easy-to-make Lemon Ginger Turmeric Cubes. These homemade power cubes are packed with immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory benefits and a vibrant zing of flavor.

Not only are they refreshing, but they’re also an affordable alternative to pricey store-bought juice shots. With just a few fresh ingredients, you can transform your mornings.

Why Make Your Own Power Shots?

While store-bought juice shots are convenient, they’re also expensive, costing $3–4 each. By making these cubes at home, you’ll save money and enjoy full control over the ingredients. Plus, the combination of lemon, ginger, and turmeric delivers a range of health benefits:

  • Lemon: A rich source of Vitamin C, it supports immunity and aids detoxification.
  • Ginger: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it boosts circulation, aids digestion, and eases nausea.
  • Turmeric: Packed with curcumin, a potent anti-inflammatory compound, it promotes joint and overall health.
  • Coconut Oil & Black Pepper: These ingredients improve turmeric absorption while providing an energy boost.

How to Make Lemon Ginger Turmeric Cubes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (from about 4 lemons)
  • ¾ cup peeled and chopped fresh ginger (approximately 3.5 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons peeled and chopped fresh turmeric (around 2 pieces)
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Blend the Ingredients: Add everything to a blender and blend for about 1 minute until smooth. High-powered blenders like a VitaMix work well, but any blender will suffice.
  2. Strain the Juice: Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a measuring cup, pressing the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. You should end up with about 1 cup of juice.
  3. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the juice into a silicone ice cube tray, filling each slot with approximately 2½ tablespoons. This recipe makes around 9 cubes. Freeze for at least 1 hour or until solid.
  4. Store for Later: Transfer the frozen cubes to a labeled ziplock bag with usage instructions. Keep them in the freezer for up to 2 months.

How to Use:
Place a cube in a heatproof mug, pour in 8 oz of boiling water, and stir until dissolved. Adjust the cube-to-water ratio to suit your taste.

Why These Cubes Are a Game-Changer

  • Convenience: Having pre-made cubes on hand simplifies your morning routine.
  • Health Benefits: Each drink supports immunity, reduces inflammation, and promotes digestion.
  • Customizable: Adjust the honey, ginger, or pepper to create the perfect balance of sweetness and spice.

Tips for Best Results

  • Storage: Peel and freeze extra turmeric to ensure you’re ready for your next batch.
  • Hydration: Start your morning with a power shot to stay hydrated and energized.
  • Experiment: Add cinnamon or a slice of orange for a twist on the classic recipe.

For less than $5, you can whip up a batch of 9 cubes, saving significantly compared to store-bought alternatives. Plus, you’ll have the satisfaction of creating your own health-boosting drink.
