Meghan Markle ‘believes Netflix show is perfect revenge’ as she’s ‘determined to make it on her own without Prince Harry’

Meghan Markle reportedly views her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, as the “perfect revenge” against her critics.

The show, which will now debut in March after its original January 15 premiere date was postponed, showcases the Duchess of Sussex sharing tips and tricks on cooking, gardening, and crafting. The delay was reportedly due to the devastating wildfires that began on January 7 in California, Meghan’s home state.

The series, spanning eight episodes, will also feature a lineup of celebrity guests.

According to an insider, Meghan is feeling “on top of the world” about the project. Speaking to OK!, the source revealed, “Meghan feels this show will be the perfect revenge for all her doubters and haters. She is so confident it’s going to do well, and she will get the accolades she deserves for it, which will finally shut some people up. She can’t wait.”

The source also suggested that Meghan is focused on proving her independence. “She is determined to show that she can make it on her own without Harry and her titles,” they said.

While Meghan is prioritizing her solo work, the insider emphasized that she and Prince Harry will continue to collaborate “when the time is right.” They added, “Nobody can criticise her for cashing in on her royal connections because she doesn’t really mention them. She’s just determined to prove that she’s more than just Harry’s wife.”

The source noted that Meghan’s new project feels like a return to her roots. Before her relationship with Harry, she ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, which shared a similar tone and content to her Netflix series.

In light of the California wildfires, Meghan postponed the show’s release and shifted focus to helping those affected. The fires have destroyed homes and claimed the lives of at least 24 people. Last week, Meghan and Harry released a statement addressing the crisis, urging people to assist where possible.

The statement read: “In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighbourhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life. A state of emergency has been issued.

“If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbours to see if they need help evacuating.”

Reports suggest that Meghan and Harry opened their Montecito home to friends and loved ones who were forced to evacuate due to the fires.

Representatives for Meghan have yet to comment on the new show.
