Meghan Markle Fuels Divorce Rumors With Instagram Return Blunder

Many are now convinced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ‘divorcing’ after discovering what they believe to be ‘proof’ on Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex made an unexpected comeback to the social media platform, having deactivated her account three months before her wedding in 2018.

Her return has caught the attention of many, and some fans have even pointed out an awkward mistake.

Markle and Prince Harry once shared an Instagram account called “Kensington Royal” with the duke’s older brother, Prince William, and his wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, before launching their own account, “Sussex Royal,” according to People magazine.

However, when the couple chose to step down from their senior royal roles in 2020, they deactivated this account.

Markle and Prince Harry explained that their decision to step away from royal duties stemmed from intense media scrutiny and their desire for more privacy, particularly to protect their young children, Archie and Lilibet.

They also expressed a wish to shape their public image independently, free from the restrictions imposed by royal family protocols.

Despite leaving royal life and starting a new chapter in California, the duke and duchess remain consistently in the media spotlight.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pursued individual brands rather than a power couple status in late 2024.

Markle and Prince Harry recently made headlines due to reports about a ‘professional separation’ in their careers.

In the latter part of 2024, the couple shifted their focus toward developing personal brands instead of pursuing a power couple image.

This sparked rumors of a potential divorce, which Prince Harry quickly refuted.

During a recent appearance, the duke dismissed the rumors, highlighting the absurdity of the speculation: “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house maybe 10 or 12 times, and we’ve apparently divorced maybe 10 or 12 times as well. So, it’s just like, ‘what?’ It’s hard to keep up.”

He also noted, “I’ve had a lived experience since I was a kid. I’ve seen stories written about myself that aren’t exactly based on reality.”

While Prince Harry has rejected these claims, some speculate that the couple may be separating, especially following Markle’s surprising return to Instagram.

Meghan Markle fans are celebrating her return to Instagram.

Many fans have expressed their excitement over Markle’s return, with one writing: “About time really. Meghan Markle has dealt with enough to last her a lifetime.”

Another fan shared: “Her return to Instagram may bring back not just her presence, but also the potential for meaningful dialogue and advocacy.”

A third supporter wrote: “Meghan Markle survived and thrived! No one and no amount of British press will dim her light.”

The Duchess of Sussex has made her comeback to the platform with two posts.

One shows Markle running on a beach in an all-white outfit, bending down to write “2025” in the sand, while the other promotes her upcoming Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.

What caught many people’s attention was a small detail in Markle’s Instagram bio that unintentionally implies she has separated from Prince Harry.

Royal protocol experts pointed out that the Suits actress used a title generally reserved for royal divorcees.

When Markle rejoined Instagram, her profile initially showed just her first name before it was updated to ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.’

One person noted, “Hopefully we will see another update, as she left out the ‘The’ in her title. No ‘The’ before Duchess of Sussex means she is a divorcee.”

Referring to Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, who is known as Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, another user remarked: “Meghan’s title is ‘Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.’ She has ‘The’ as she is the spouse of the current title holder. Sarah has no ‘The’ as a divorcee.”
