Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids are said to be “very excited” after their family dog, Orla, had puppies.
Reports say the black Cocker Spaniel recently gave birth to four puppies, and Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are already smitten!
William and Kate’s dog Orla has welcomed a litter of puppies, according to The Sun.
The family recently had some new additions as Orla gave birth to four puppies.
A source told the newspaper, “Mother and babies are doing well.”
They added, “We always thought the patter of tiny feet in the Wales’ household had ended, so the sound of tiny paws will have to do.”
“Everyone is excited about this new addition, especially the three children, who love Orla and their previous dog, Lupo.”
It’s not yet clear what names the family will choose for the puppies or if they plan to keep all of them.

What kind of dog do William and Kate have?
Prince William and Kate have had two Cocker Spaniels over the years.
Their first dog, Lupo, was a wedding gift in 2011 but sadly passed away in 2020. Their second dog, Orla, was given to them by Kate’s brother, James Middleton, before Orla also passed away.
Orla wasn’t often seen by the public until Kate’s cancer update video last September, where Orla ran alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and joined the family on the beach.
Other royals have dogs too. Queen Camilla recently adopted a rescue dog named Moley. King Charles owns an Italian truffle dog called Snuff, his first pet in 20 years. The late Queen Elizabeth II loved dogs and had over 30 corgis throughout her life.
Camilla’s New Puppy
Last week, Camilla posted a photo with her new dog, Moley.
She adopted Moley after losing her previous dog, Beth, in November 2024. Beth, a 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, passed away earlier this year.
Like Beth, Moley was adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
The royal family’s official Instagram shared a sweet photo of Camilla hugging Moley before the queen’s visit to the Dog Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The caption said, “Meet mischievous Moley, the queen’s new much-loved canine companion who was recently adopted from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, where Her Majesty is Patron.”
Fans loved the post. One wrote, “What an adorable picture! I absolutely love it! Moley is so cute.”
Another added, “Thank you for rescuing this little soul. And for advocating rescue.”
