Royal Expert Reveals Where Meghan Stands as Harry Tries to Reconcile with Charles: ‘She Doesn’t…’

More than seven years have passed since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, and despite ongoing speculation about their marriage, their bond appears as strong as ever.

Royal experts suggest that Meghan remains deeply supportive of Harry—particularly when it comes to his hopes of mending his relationship with his father, King Charles III.

One expert even recalled Meghan’s previously close connection to her father-in-law, noting how it could influence her current stance on a family reconciliation.

Meghan’s Quiet Support for a Family Reunion

With reports emerging that Prince Harry and King Charles have taken initial steps toward repairing their fractured relationship—marked by a recent meeting between their aides in London—questions have arisen about Meghan’s position on the matter.

While the Duchess of Sussex has not made any public comments, BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes Meghan is quietly in favor of the reunion.

Speaking to The Mirror, Bond stated, “It’s important to remember that the King and Meghan had a warm and affectionate relationship at the start. Harry wrote about how jovial and animated his father was when they used to visit him, for example, talking to Meghan about music.”

Charles Once Walked Meghan Down the Aisle

Bond also reminded readers of the personal gesture King Charles made at Meghan’s wedding in 2018, walking her down the aisle in place of her own father. Though a lot has happened since that day, the royal expert believes Meghan’s love for Harry remains unwavering.

“Of course, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, and emotions are still running high,” Bond said. “But my belief is that Meghan loves Harry and wants him to be happy. And if a reconciliation with his father, which he has said he wants, will make him happy, then I think Meghan would be supportive.”

The Children May Also Be a Factor

Bond added that Meghan likely sees value in reconnecting with King Charles not only for Harry’s sake but also for their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. A renewed relationship could help their children form a bond with their grandfather—something that has yet to fully happen.

“The King would be delighted to know his grandchildren,” she explained. “He has already missed so much of their young lives, and children grow up so quickly.”

Concerns Over Meghan’s Business Ties Eased

Some have speculated that a royal reconciliation might conflict with Meghan’s commercial ventures, particularly her lifestyle brand As Ever. However, Bond dismissed any serious concerns, arguing that Meghan’s projects are not inappropriate.

“I don’t see that she is doing anything commercially that is distasteful or problematic,” Bond said. “After all, the King sells jams and a wide range of products—admittedly only for charity.” She added a note of caution: “As long as she doesn’t do anything that would cause embarrassment for the royal family, I don’t see any difficulties.”

While Meghan may support Harry’s efforts to reconcile with King Charles, Prince William appears less willing to forgive and forget. According to Bond, the Prince of Wales may move past their personal rivalry, but he still harbors resentment over Harry’s public criticism of his wife, Kate Middleton.

Fox News reported that William was not involved in the recent aides’ meeting—despite being aware of it. Sources indicate he intentionally chose not to participate.
