- 400ml water
- 100ml rubbing alcohol or white vinegar
- Spray bottle
- Metal coat hanger
- 2 kitchen towels
- Rubber bands
Instructions:
1. Make your homemade cleaner:
Mix 400 ml of water with 100 ml of rubbing alcohol or white vinegar in a spray bottle. This solution is an effective and safe cleaner for oven glass.
2. Clean the inside of the oven:
Spray the cleaner onto the inside of the oven glass and wipe it down with one of the kitchen towels to remove grease and food residue.
3. Prepare the coat hanger:
Unbend the metal coat hanger and reshape it into a long, flexible tool that can slide between the glass panels of your oven door.
4. Prepare the cleaning towel:
Spray one of the kitchen towels with the cleaning solution and wrap it around the end of the bent coat hanger.
5. Secure the towel:
Use rubber bands to firmly attach the towel to the hanger. Make sure it’s tightly secured so it doesn’t slip during cleaning.
6. Clean between the glass panes:
Insert the hanger with the damp towel between the glass panels and gently scrub to remove any built-up grime. The hanger allows you to reach those hard-to-access areas.
7. Remove residue:
Repeat the process using a clean, dry towel to wipe away any remaining cleaning solution and leave the oven glass clear and shiny.
