The Prince of Wales recently made an appearance at a royal event in Birmingham, drawing attention for both his engagements with attendees and a noticeably different look. Read on for more details!

Prince William attended the first Emergency and Critical Care Conference in Birmingham on January 15, 2025, sparking concern and curiosity among the online community.

Photos from the event triggered discussions on social media, with many users expressing worry about Prince William’s appearance.

On Facebook, one person noted, “Something about this picture looks off; it doesn’t really look like him [sic].” Another added, “Wow Wills, you’re looking a bit rough. Maybe take the wife on a holiday trip. You both deserve it [sic].”

Similar sentiments appeared on Instagram. One user observed, “He’s lost weight.” Another commented, “He’s got Diana’s teeth. He seems worn out these days.”

The prince’s apparent weight loss was a frequent topic, with one comment stating, “The first thing I noticed is the weight loss. Hope he’s ok [sic].” Another person remarked, “I usually avoid commenting on someone’s weight, but he looks like he’s lost a bit. I hope he’s well!”

Not all feedback focused on his appearance negatively. Some users complimented him, saying, “Handsome and nice!” and “Charming.”

On January 14, 2025, Prince William was officially named Patron of the College of Paramedics, a role announced on the organization’s Instagram page.

Additionally, it was revealed that Prince William and Princess Catherine were named joint patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. This role is especially meaningful for Princess Catherine, given her personal connection to the organization after undergoing cancer treatment there.

During her visit to the Chelsea hospital, Princess Catherine met with patients and staff, learning more about the advanced care provided. She reflected on her own journey, expressing gratitude for the support she and Prince William received.

“My heartfelt thanks go to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we navigated everything… The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional,” Catherine said.

While concerns about Prince William’s health and appearance persist online, he continues to focus on championing the causes close to his heart and his family’s mission.
