William and Kate excluded from Meghan and Harry’s never-before-seen wedding photos as rift continues

Newly released photographs from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 wedding noticeably left out Prince William and Princess Kate.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exchanged vows on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, with the Prince of Wales serving as best man. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales arrived at the chapel with the bridesmaids and page boys in a car, accompanied by Meghan’s then-close friend, Jessica Mulroney.

Season two of With Love, Meghan premiered on Netflix today, showcasing never-before-seen images from the Sussexes’ big day. Yet, William and Kate, both 43, were absent from the photos, as were King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Wedding Day Memories with Clare Smyth

Episode six featured Northern Irish chef Clare Smyth, who catered the couple’s wedding banquet. During her appearance, Meghan fondly recalled the meal, asking:

“What was the one at the wedding, you had that beautiful braised lamb. That was the most delicious meal.”

Smyth responded: “You know what else was? Your fried chicken at the after party.”

Meghan lit up: “Yes! The late-night bites.”

Smyth added: “Not usually something I typically do. So we had to try and create a recipe for fried chicken. And we did!”

As they spoke, images from the wedding appeared in the background, showing Meghan and Harry celebrating with friends. However, none of the Royal Family were pictured.

Reflections on the Wedding Menu

Later in the episode, Smyth discussed how cooking fish varies across cultures, sparking Meghan’s memory of their wedding meal.

“It makes me think of our wedding menu. Remember? We had the map where everything was sourced. We really wanted everyone to appreciate where every ingredient was coming from. I mean, that was the most delicious meal. Everyone still talks about it.”

Smyth agreed, recalling: “I still remember doing the, um, your anniversary. We surprised you.”

Meghan smiled: “Oh yeah! Oh my gosh. That was so fun. In that beautiful little old chapel.”

Food, Language, and Family

The conversation also touched on food terminology differences between the US and UK.

Smyth explained: “When I’m doing US shows, I’ll always have to be like, ‘cilantro’ or like, ‘sunchoke.’”

Meghan joked: “Like the dinner for our wedding. What is sunchoke in… [the UK]?”

“Jerusalem artichoke,” Smyth replied, before the pair listed other terms such as zucchini/courgette, eggplant/aubergine, and arugula/rocket.

Speaking of her children, Meghan added: “My kids, they’ll say a little bit of both, but never cooking terms, because I guess Papa’s not cooking as much. They both say ‘zeb-rah,’ though, instead of ‘zee-bra.’”
