How to Prepare the Master Tonic
Ingredients:
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves (or 5–6 whole cloves)
- 1 small cinnamon stick or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric)
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 small garlic clove, crushed
- 1–2 thin slices of raw onion (red or yellow)
- 2 cups filtered water
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
- Add the ginger, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric, garlic, and onion.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Take it off the heat, cover, and let it steep for another 10 minutes.
- Strain into a cup.
- Add lemon juice and honey once the liquid is warm (not hot).
- Stir and sip slowly.
Suggested Use:
Drink a small cup (about 100–150 ml) each day, ideally in the morning on an empty stomach or between meals for maximum benefit.
