Meghan Markle reveals one thing she refused to do on Suits set despite advice

Part 1 of 2

Meghan Markle Reflects on Beauty Choices During Her ‘Suits’ Years — and Why She Skipped a Popular Piece of Advice

While many actors and actresses embrace the glamor of long hours in the makeup chair, the toll it can take on hair and skin is often underestimated — especially under the hot lights of a film set.

Meghan Markle, known for her role as Rachel Zane on the hit series Suits, recently revisited those early Hollywood experiences during an episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. And in a candid moment, she opened up about a beauty tip she intentionally chose to ignore — even though it came from seasoned actresses who had walked the same path before her.

The conversation came up during an engaging chat with Tina Knowles, mother of superstar Beyoncé. As Knowles shared how her daughter keeps her hair healthy despite heavy styling and frequent wig use on stage, Meghan chimed in with a similar story from her Suits days.

“Back then, many women I worked with warned me — ‘You’re going to fry your hair,’” Meghan recalled. With her character constantly styled to perfection, the advice she often received was to consider wearing wigs to protect her natural hair.
