Prince William reveals son Louis’ dilemma in new appearance as the young royal left torn

Prince William has shared that Prince Louis will face a tough choice later in life — one that could potentially create tension with his father and brother.

The Prince of Wales visited Edinburgh on Wednesday, May 21, stopping by the non-profit Street Soccer Scotland.

As patron of the English Football Association, he dropped in at the Leith Community Centre to learn how football is being used to address some of society’s biggest challenges.

He found out how Leith United, a new social enterprise backed by The Royal Foundation’s Community Impact Programme, is helping people struggling with homelessness and addiction by offering football sessions.

The initiative aims to promote health, wellbeing, and social connections for thousands of locals through its community hub.

Prince William also spent time speaking with residents — and even joined in by showing off his football skills.

“That’s it, I’m done now!” he joked after scoring an impressive penalty to a round of applause.

Prince William met with Erin, 9, and Shaniah, 10, who had organized a Youth Forum at the Edinburgh City Council Chambers to raise issues about the apartment block where they live.

Impressed by their efforts, Prince William praised them for speaking up in public, saying: “Wow, it’s not easy standing up and speaking. It takes a lot of courage. Well done.”

Erin also gave him a poster of the football team he supports. When asked which team she likes, Erin revealed she actually supports two — and interestingly, she shares that preference with Prince William’s youngest child.

Do Prince Louis and Prince George like football?

It turns out Prince Louis is still undecided about which football team to support.

Prince William shared: “My youngest at the moment says he supports five different football teams.”

Unlike Louis, his older brother Prince George supports the same club as their father — Aston Villa.

The father and son duo have been seen attending several Villa matches together, and George has even been photographed proudly wearing a Villa scarf in the stands.

So the question remains: will Prince Louis eventually join them at Villa Park? Or will his mixed loyalties stir up a bit of sibling rivalry?

Is Prince William an Aston Villa fan?

Back in 2015, Prince William shared why he became an Aston Villa fan, despite not being from the Midlands.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: “A long time ago at school I got into football big time. I was looking around for clubs. All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans. And I didn’t want to follow the run-of-the-mill teams.”

He went on to say: “I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments.”

Ironically, with Aston Villa now finishing sixth in the Premier League and potentially heading to the Champions League, maybe Prince Louis will have to pick a team lower down the standings — if he wants the same emotional journey his dad was after!
