“I find comfort in knowing he will be restored to the perfect little boy he was & have the ability to do all the things he loves! I know there are Angels up there waiting to hold him until I can again! We will miss him every second of every day down here but feel without unwavering doubt this is the best thing we can do for him!”

On May 21, Levi had been outside playing when Kallie suddenly lost sight of him and discovered he had fallen into the river. She immediately jumped into action and dove into the water. “She’s the one who found him, she got him out,” Clark told KCPQ about Kallie’s efforts.

Prior to Levi being taken by ambulance to Beaver County Hospital, the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, local highway patrol, firefighters, and the Beaver County Search and Rescue team responded promptly and administered life-saving treatment. Sadly, he did not regain consciousness and was deemed brain dead after being evacuated to a hospital in Salt Lake City.

Two days after the accident, Kallie provided an update, sharing that her son had regained consciousness. “I am shook, we don’t know much but the doctor said it was okay for me to get excited about that and I AM! My baby is so tough!” Kallie wrote.

She later explained that he had opened his eyes and “wiggled with purpose,” although he had not spoken. “Spencer and I felt like he knew we were there and could hear us,” she added.

Kallie also mentioned that she had been singing him “the excavator song” and talking about his favorite tractors, as well as what they would do once he returned home. She informed her followers that Levi had undergone an MRI but later shared that it didn’t yield positive results.

“The MRI wasn’t good, we’re shattered but it is just images that suggest a certain quality of life,” she said. “Our real teller of all will be what Levi does over the course of a few days. Please continue to pray! I’m not giving up on my baby just yet.”
