Part 1 of 2

In Pretty Woman, a contemporary adaptation of the traditional fairy tale, Julia Roberts played the girl in distress, and almost no one else could play Prince Charming opposite her. In the last scene, Vivian (Roberts) is waiting at the top of her tower, and Edward (Gere) overcomes his fear of heights to save her. I will always remember this performance.

Charles Grodin was one of the leading contenders to play Edward, but this is less generally known. Gere was persuaded to play the role in the classic film by Roberts. a section about which he initially had doubts. When the stars of the well-known romantic comedy Pretty Woman reunited in 2015, some previously unknown information surfaced.
